Description
For your consideration today is a beautiful "art to wear" 14k yellow gold handcarved conch shell cameo bracelet.  The bracelet features five full-figured dancing ladies--most likely muses--in a large 1.5" size.
Three of the muses carry a lyre--one actually plays it, while the other two are holding it in different positions.  A fourth muse holds a basket of wheat (fertility) and finally, the fifth muse carries a jug or vessel of water which appears to be cascading downward.  These are beautiful images, and this bracelet is large and striking on the wrist.
All of the cameos are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips nor crazing.  Their frames are hand-etched and they are linked together by a bar of five open circles.  The clasp is a large tongue-in-box style which fits into a slice of decorative gold found on the end cameo where the 14k stamp appears.  We were hoping to find a signature on these cameos, but they are unsigned.
One small issue:  the handmade safety clasp needs to be straightened by a jeweler, or removed (see photos).  The bracelet stays securely closed without the use of the safety.
The bracelet measures 1.5" wide and has 7" of wearable length when closed.  It weighs 36.3 grams and is in excellent vintage condition other than the small safety clasp issue mentioned above.
