For your consideration today is a LARGE and unique 14k white gold vintage turn of the century (1900- 1900) hand-carved conch shell "cameo habille" pendant, which can also be worn as a brooch.  It is equipped with a hidden bail which flips down when the cameo is worn as a pin.  I have shown it on a chain in the photos for size reference--CHAIN IS NOT INCLUDED.
This is an unusual cameo on two levels:  I've never seen one (a) with a decked-out woman blowing a horn, or (b) wearing two pieces of diamond jewelry. The cameo is masterfully crafted, as well.  Maybe she's at a New Year's Eve party??
This cameo is a nice big one,  measuring 2 inches by 1.5 inches.  A cameo "habille" is one which wears "jewels."  Most cameos have only the diamond necklace, but this one wears a diamond bracelet, as well. If you view the underside, you'll see where the jewelry is bracelet is securely riveted to the back.  The cable from the necklace seems to have been broken and not intertwined, but it's still securely on the cameo.
The frame is a lovely octagonal shape, made from white gold filigree, with bow  accents at the four corners.
This cameo measures 2" by 1.5". It closes with an early locking pin clasp.  It tests positive for 14k gold, weighs 18.1 grams, and is in good antique condition.
